But when you realize all the tools Blender is missing you might find yourself heading back to XSI. If you learn the Blender way, Modeling in XSI will be strange and slow - seeming. But there is a larger trade off for me in XSI because of other tools it has and generally much better snapping. Some other things I find I have to set up first to get things working the way I like: Click the + sign next to the Preset box to create one and give it a name. If you click on that it will change to Press Key and you simply hit V on the keyboard to change it. When you scroll down to Move for instance you’ll see the key short in the box G. So you could change GRS (Move, Rotate, Scale) to SI VXC. You can expand and scroll down to find the usual one’s you’d want to change. In the meantime, a quick question: Is it possible to get all major Softimage modelling and navigation shortcuts in Blender? Is something like that already available, or do I have to change each shortcut by hand? I am asking because I was given the option to use it like Maya. Thank you for the response!
